Announcing My New Website TLocke.com (Comment for a chance to win TRIAL RUN)

I’m excited to announce the launch of my new website, TLocke.com.

Thomas Locke's Website | TLocke.com

About a year ago, we kicked off the new Thomas Locke brand with a one-page website. At that time, the site focused on my first epic fantasy novel, Emissary.

On August 4, Trial Run (the first book in my Fault Lines techno-thriller series), will release. We redesigned the one-page site and expanded it to a full-featured site that will accommodate the release of several upcoming books.

I’m thrilled with the work done by my online marketing manager Laura Christianson and her team at Blogging Bistro. I know that authors are supposed to stay laid back and above the fray, but I want to jump up and down when I look at my new site.

What do you think?

Take a look around and leave a comment. I’ll draw a winner from among all the comments and send the winner a copy of Trial Run as soon as it’s published.

Please share and tweet the link to this post with your friends so they can enter, too:

Hope you’ll sign up for my e-mail list while you’re exploring the site. You’ll be the first to receive announcements about giveaways, upcoming books, and will also get my latest blog post in your Inbox.

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. Winners will be announced on my blog and notified via email on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.

I like your site. Very easy to navigate and I discovered two new reads!!!! I am already signed up for your newsletter–will the blog posts be added to that subscription, please?

    Thank you,
    Sue

    • Reply Thomas Locke

Yes, Sue, the blog is included in the subscription unless you uncheck the box to turn off that part of the subscription. I just checked and you are signed up to receive my latest blog post via email.

Love the new site! Especially love the two book trailers. Also like the pop-up to subscribe when you pause on a page.

    • Reply Thomas Locke

Deb, A lot of people don’t like pop-ups, and we thought long and hard about how to structure it, so I’m glad you didn’t find it intrusive.

  5. Reply Sandie

Looking forward to reading Trial Run. I’ve read and enjoyed almost every single book written by Davis Bunn!

  6. Reply Edward Arrington

Love the new site! I popped over hear from West Coast Christian Writers to check it out. I also tweeted the news! Excited to see what you have coming up!

Your use of color on your blog is very attractive. I like to see authors branch out so they are constantly challenging themselves to learn new areas of expression. Thank you for your many ways of encouraging Christiand in their faith.
    Blessings,

Thank you, Janice. We went with something eye-popping, which fits both the fantasy and thriller genres and has the “cool factor” for younger readers.

They say, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” From what I can see, you have an ENTIRE LIBRARY in this awesome website, and I can’t wait to start reading! Great job, and kudos to Laura Christianson and the team at Blogging Bistro!

great site. Would be a touch easier if the “leave a comment” section was higher or on a side nav so we didn’t have to scroll all the way down. Just a suggestion. Loving Emissary because I just got to chapter 5 and you named a character after me! Thank you so much!?

  12. Reply Jennifer Essad

I especially like how your keeping everything lined up on the left of the page. The black background on the book tab is cool, making everything stand out. Having appearance schedules are great help and seeing your pics lets us get to know you. Congrats on the new site and future releases.

  13. Reply Daryl

Wow! A very, colourful, eye-catching website. A pleasure to view and navigate. I just ordered my copy of Emissary and look forward to reading it after reading the free preview ebook “The Captive”.

  14. Reply Mike

I love the way your set up your new websit. No hum-drum. The colors and art not only bring the site alive, but goes right along with the types of books you are writing (which, by the way, I love (though I’ve only started reading Trial Run a couple of days ago)). I’m looking forward to this new genre of yours and know the books will be just as terrific as all you other books! Thanks for making me a part of your group of readers!

Thanks, Annie/Nichole. Having the colors and graphics complement the techno-thriller and fantasy genres is exactly what we set out to do. Glad it’s working for you.

  17. Reply Robin Bunting

Love the new website. The colors are super and so is the information available. Thank you!

  18. Reply Zoe Schoppa

I loved your book Emissary and was aware of Trial Run coming out soon but was disappointed on the earlier version of your website, because it was very limited. Loved the clean yet colorful graphics though. This site still has the clean presentation with bright graphics. The page is incredibly well done, just like your books and I can find more information which is fantastic.

    • Reply Thomas Locke

Thanks, Zoe. The earlier version of my site was a one-page site, because, at that time, I had only one book. But now that there are two books (and soon to be more), it was time to expand the site to a full-featured site.

  19. Reply Joelle Reizes

Just finished Emissary and enjoyed it very much, particularly because one of the main characters was named after me . 🙂 Am enjoying the new site. You seem to be getting a lot activity, which means it is effective. I like the colors and the background hero image seems to reflect your writing. Nice job.

  20. Reply Chris Bishop

Always excited for a new book whether it be Thomas or Davis 🙂 Just got the prequel , thank you very much. The site looks great.

  21. Reply Edward Arrington

Great new web site! Very colorful and eye-catching. Easy to navigate.

  22. Reply Deb Gale

Looks great! If it came with a Diet Coke to drink it would be my two favorite passions. Enjoy your books.

  23. Reply Pam D

Would love to read your new book. And your new website is easy to use

  24. Reply Marjorie Vawter

I’m checking your new website out because I’m already on your email list. 🙂 Love the new look! I fell in love with Emissary, and I’m looking forward to the new series releasing in August.

I am really interested in this new series “Fault Lines”. I read the synopsis to my teenage son who hates reading because they all have “romance”! He wants a good action, thriller and said we will have to get the book when it comes out. Thank you for writing books that spark his interest in reading.

    • Reply Thomas Locke

Happy to help, Suzanne. I’d love to know what your son thinks of TRIAL RUN. Hope he’ll post a review on Amazon on August 4, when the book is released.

I very much like this website. I am techno challenged and I did not have any problems searching in the different categories.
Great job! I also like that the print is easy to read and in colors that do not ‘white out’ the text or make words ‘almost invisible’.

    • Reply Thomas Locke

Thanks so much, Cindy. White text on a black background can be tricky, so my web developer made the white text extra large, so it’s readable. I think it looks great even on a smartphone.

I borrowed Emissary yesterday from the public library and finished it this morning–I would like to let you know that I really enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the sequel. I have been reading a lot of fantasy for 40+ years and have enjoyed MANY of your previous books, especially The Book of Hours–this is another one I will be buying for my library when I get a chance. I have read and enjoyed LOTR and many others by Tolkien and Lewis, and even “secular” fantasy by Mercedes Lackey, Andre Norton, and Michael Stackpole. GREAT JOB!!

Hello, I think your blog might be having browser compatibility issues.
When I look at your blog site in Firefox, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping.
I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that,
    excellent blog!
